I (Blake Althen) made this instrument using seven unique drums - both metal tank and wooden tongue drums (similar to a Hang Drum). It creates the same feel you get using mallets with a real drum, only using finger pads on a hardware controller. (hardware controllers are not required but make Planetary Vibes REALLY FUN.)

Created in easy-to-use drum racks, there’s no need to map anything. If your controller works with a drum rack, it will work with Planetary Vibes.

With over 100 presets for Ableton Live ranging from pitched-down booming drums and lush pads, to enchanting chimes and ethereal tones in the upper musical frequencies, Planetary Vibes can give your projects that integral element you may not have even known you needed.

One of the disadvantages with traditional tank drums is that they are typically locked into one key. With Planetary Vibes, that limitation is gone, with an open doorway into a broad selection of options. You can modify the pitch two octaves in either direction, matching the keys you want to play in.
